Position Summary
This cross functional role will work under the direction of the Controller /Finance Department and will also have responsibilities to the CEO. The Fund Development Coordinator will support the fund development efforts of the Greater Providence YMCA and will coordinate all administrative aspects of any fundraising campaigns as assigned as well as the Annual Campaign. The Fund Development Coordinator will train branch staff in proper procedure for data entry, data integrity and donor communication. This position will be responsible for the overall data integrity, recording, tracking all donor and prospect activity, acknowledging gifts, reporting, as well as supporting stewardship functions, special events, annual and capital fundraising campaigns. This position will work closely with the CEO’s Administrative Assistant and, at times, the GPYMCA’s Grant writer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Will complete online application for all corporate donations and grants related to fund development.
- Represent the YMCA at community events and meetings as
- Plan and implement, with the CEO, COO and Director of Administration, all special fundraising events, and annual community support campaign for the Association Office.
- Will be the primary contact for all donors at the Association Level.
- Provide daily support and training for all Business Managers at: Bayside, Cranston, East Side/Mt. Hope, Fuller, Kent County, South County, Newman YMCA, and PYS.
- Work collaboratively with Administration teams and branch representatives to process gifts and ensure maintenance of donor intent, accuracy of financial and donor records, and timely acknowledgement of
- Coordinate the tracking and reporting details of the Annual Campaign in collaboration with the branch executive directors, finance, and the
- Analyze and produce weekly reports for Leadership
- Provide data mining and data exports for appeals, communications, and
- Input all campaign pledges and gifts and send out thank you letters in a timely
- Occasional evenings and weekends for special events and
- Other duties as assigned by the Controller and/or the finance department and the
- Uphold all Association Policies/ Demonstrate core values of Respect, Responsibility, Caring and Honesty.
- Actively participate in designated meetings, training sessions and special events.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service, organizational, verbal, and written skills
- Highly knowledgeable of Microsoft Office, including excel spreadsheets, and creative
- Knowledge of Fund Development, Board Development, and Communications

- Ability to manage high volume data entry and
- Ability to be flexible.
- This is a fast-paced position at times.
Education /Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts; Fund Development, or Community Organizing preferred.
- One to three years of administrative experience, one to three years of experience working with staff and volunteers, and one to three years of community relations experience.
- One to three years of fundraising experience strongly desired.
