What are the responsibilities and job description for the Café Worker position at Greater Regional Health?

Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for serving meals for the cafeteria.
- Helps cook in setting up cold serving line for meal such as cold beverage, silverware, condiments, and napkins.
- Assists with food preparation according to production schedule such as:
- Prepares salads, desserts, breads, juice, gelatin, and pudding as necessary.
- Makes coffee for patients and employees.
- Assists in dishing salads and desserts for patients and cafeteria.
- Prepares food in a nutritious and appetizing manner by following standardized recipes, therapeutic menus, and diet manual.
- Adheres to meal schedule and serves food at proper temperature.
- Cleans cafeteria, dining room, and work area.
- Washes & puts away all dishes and silverware from dish machine using sanitary procedures.
- Assists with stocking paper supplies.
- In charge of cafeteria cashier which includes handling money, making change, and charging appropriate employee accounts.
- Performs related duties as assigned within the Food Service Department.
Skills, Education and Experience:
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills necessary
