Position Overview

Green Bay Packaging Inc. is a privately owned, diversified paper and packaging manufacturer. Founded in 1933, this Wisconsin based company has over 3,400 employees and 32 manufacturing locations operating in 15 states that serve the corrugated container, folding carton and coated label markets. Our Information Technology Department currently has an outstanding opportunity for a Systems Analyst. 

 

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a customer service-oriented individual with the drive to learn and support manufacturing or logistics software applications. This individual will have strong communication skills allowing them to work with end users in both office and manufacturing settings. The individual must be able to understand existing business processes, how they interrelate and translate them into IT systems solutions. A high energy, driven, teamwork mentality is a must for this role.  

 

This role is in-person at the Corporate Green Bay, WI office.

Responsibilities

  • Support applications relating to raw materials procurement, orders, machine scheduling, production, product testing, finished goods inventory, invoicing and sales reporting. 
  • Deliver results within established scope, schedule and costs. 
  • Define application process flows by conferring with end users, evaluating and current processes. 
  • Research innovative technologies that can increase the organization’s efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Prepare and analyze costs and benefits to decide if application upgrades are financially worthwhile. 
  • Validate system results by defining, writing and executing test cases. 
  • Ensure effective site operations by training end users and providing support on applications. 
  • Actively troubleshoot issues with application systems by working with end users, vendors and developers to resolve them. 
  • Grow job knowledge by reading professional publications, maintaining industry contacts and participating in professional organizations. 
  • Implement new workflow solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative options. 
  • Write SQL queries for reports, dashboards and troubleshooting production support issues. 
  • Work with a sense of urgency in solving issues, removing roadblocks and improving the user experience. 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working within manufacturing principles and associated business processes. 
  • Experience configuring integrated manufacturing systems is a plus. 
  • Experience with ERP systems.  Kiwiplan or Amtech manufacturing applications a plus. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. 
  • Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work on multiple priorities effectively. 
  • Customer service focus on the ability to positively interact directly with end users. 
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills. 
  • High level of emotional intelligence. 
  • Collaborative team first mentality.  Business and goal oriented. 
  • Inquisitive personality with a can-do/positive outlook. In addition to a strong work ethic.
