Position Summary
The Crew Lead is responsible for coordinating residential installs of each system efficiently, in a timely and in a quality manner. Good leadership, good communication and documentation skills while working on the roof.
Job Duties/ Responsibilities
- Responsible for the supervision of the entire installation project
- Responsible for supervising safety on the job
- Complete installation on various roof types and ground mounts
- Responsible for supervising quality and efficiency of work performed on site
- Communication with Roof Lead and Branch Manager on any changes needed to be performed
- Management of mount racking, modules, and electrical equipment
- Thoroughly completing all job documents including the collection of data and photos for each Job
- Make sure the roof top team works together to improve productivity to get projects completed
- Drive Company vehicle to and from jobs safely
- Responsible for the truck tools and material inventory
- Responsible for supervision of fixing and troubleshooting projects
- Maintain a clean work site and safe working environment
- Other tasks and duties as needed
Qualifications Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience, including at least 6 months of leading a crew
- Must have electrical and roof racking experience
- Good motivation with an attention to productivity, detail and safety
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Regular, reliable and predictable attendance
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
- Well skilled with power and hand tools as well as showing others how to safely use them.
Physical Demands
- Use their hands and fingers to grasp, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
- Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time including walking and running
- Full ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, bend, stretch, twist, or reach out
- Repeat the same movements
- Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place
- Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired

- Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.)
- Able to work safely with heights on ladders, stairs, poles or on rooftops and in confined areas
- Able to lift (50 lbs or more), pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
- Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away to determine the distance between objects
- See differences between colors, shades, and brightness
- While looking forward, see objects or movements that are off to the side
- Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls using hands, fingers, or feet
- Understand the speech of another person
