What are the responsibilities and job description for the CANNABIS DISPENSARY MANAGER position at Green Dispensary?
Dispensary managers oversee ALL operations at a marijuana dispensary.
General job duties include and not limited to monitoring the inventory of cannabis product, hiring and training budtenders, sales, security staff, and setting standards and protocols for delivering products and services. You may also communicate directly with patients to recommend products and answer questions when the budtenders are unable to do so. To ensure the products are handled and used properly, you will be asked to supervise all employees during transactions and make sure patients receive accurate documentation on what they can expect from the product with a receipt.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Primary contact for the business, internally and externally
- Assist in overseeing the entire operation of the dispensary
- Ensures that the dispensary operations stay in compliance with the Medical Use of Marijuana Program and internally approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Responsible for assuring that all books, reports, and certificates required by law are properly kept on file
- Maintain the company's plan on both long-term and short-term goals (as needed)
- Interview, hire, supervise and if necessary, terminate any of the subsequent employees
- Cross-train all associates to maximize the efficiency of staff levels
- Supervise contractors and/or vendors
- Make sure security procedures are functioning and in place
- Accountable for security personnel and security equipment functionality
- Ensure that staff members are adequately trained and following company set protocols
- Ensure that all staff members are patient-oriented
- Check that all administrative records are up to date
- Ensure maintenance, cleanliness and proper setup for the dispensary is achieved daily
- Educate the patient population on the advantages of our dispensary
- Assist in receiving products for the dispensary, when necessary
- Assist in marketing strategies; including working relationships with local medical doctors, as well as ensuring all social media is being updated daily/weekly/monthly.
- Recommend additional work to be done in the dispensary to the Regional Manager
- Review Department of Public Health inspection reports and notices and note any action to be taken
- Fill in any position needed at dispensary site
- Oversee daily dispensary operations and monitor patient interaction and reception
- Oversee and ensure delivery services are optimized
- Set weekly work schedule for any subsequent dispensary agents
- Responsible for opening and closing the dispensary
- Responsible for opening the safe, counting money, managing incoming and outgoing cash and inventory
- Verify the closing cash register reports and beginning/ending inventory are balanced
- Responsible for which products will be available and when they will be available
- Ensure inventory levels match patient needs
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated results-oriented leadership

- Financial analysis skills sufficient to interpret operating statements and other financial reporting data, manage budgets and control inventory (reduce/eliminate shrinkage).
- Demonstrate computer skills with Excel/Word/Outlook to provide necessary information to Senior Management, Regional Manager and Investors.
- Demonstrated ability to produce desired results by leveraging resources, maintaining strict expense control, managing merchandise effectively, and defining and communicating clear expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including a willingness to consistently provide superior patient service, the ability to react appropriately under pressure, and the ability to apply sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in collaboration with all team members to achieve objectives in a participative style effectively.
