Green eggs cafe looking for Baristas & hosts

Host Position: Starting hourly rate - $12/hr

Weekend availability is mandatory, as well as all holidays.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Arriving ready to work promptly at 8:30 am.

Properly & neatly writing names on wait list, along with times and party size so we can ensure proper seating and accurate wait times.

Staying in constant communication with guests waiting to be sat, including updating wait times as frequently as possible.

Sanitizing all surfaces touched by guests (door handles, menus, etc) regularly throughout the shift.

Wiping windows and glass doorways at the end of shift and reorganizing host stand for next day service.

I am very much in need of staff so I am looking to hire and train immediately.

Barista Position_: Starting hourly rate - $12/hr plus great tips

Weekend availability is mandatory, as well as working all holidays.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Making coffee beverages for the entire restaurant, including drinks that are for takeout orders, and maintaining a neat & organized barista station. Ability to multitask is a must. Barista is also responsible for taking orders for guest that stop in for takeout food & drinks, entering orders from the DoorDash/Caviar tablet into the POS, answering the phone and maintaining an accurately counted cash drawer throughout the shift. Barista will also be responsible for prepping beverage ingredients, in addition to restocking, cleaning and sanitizing the station at the end of the day.

We are looking for a Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee, lattes, cappuccinos & fresh fruit smoothies. Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of how brewing equipment operates. You should be able to work various shifts. Note: this position’s compensation includes salary and tips. Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter
• Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
• Take orders with a particular focus on details
• Prepare beverages following recipes
• Serve beverages
• Receive and process payments
• Keep the bar area clean
• Maintain stock of clean mugs, glassware and plates
• Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

Skills

• Previous work experience as a Barista
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations
• Flexibility to work various shifts
• Basic math skills
• Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
• Excellent communication skills
• High school diploma; relevant training is a plus
