Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description:

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in improving our accounting processes and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, advanced technical proficiency, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
2. Develop and implement top-tier accounting policies, processes, and general ledger support to support company growth and scalability.
3. Process accounts receivable cash receipts, credits, and debits, while monitoring customer credit limits and release orders from hold as necessary.
4. Assist in updating and maintaining a cash flow model to support strategic decision-making.
5. Serve as a strategic finance partner, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support accounts payable and receivable functions.
6. Track commissions, customer, and vendor rebates, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
7. Collaborate with the COO to prepare monthly reporting packages, providing insights and analysis to support business decisions.
8. Prepare and review ledger entries and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
9. Mentor and coach junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
10. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all financial transactions and reporting activities.

Requirements:

1. Proven working experience as an accounting manager or supervisor, with a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
2. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
3. Ability to work with large data sets and perform complex data analysis.
4. Deep knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
6. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
