Instructional and Classroom Support Tech 2 - Photography Lab Technician

Position Summary

The Photography Lab Technician will be responsible for developing, coordinating and providing technical support services within the photography program. The lab technician is responsible for supporting darkroom and computer lab instructional programs and activities, including lab set-up, equipment maintenance, and demonstrating photo processes as needed.
This is a permanent classified full-time Instructional Technician II, 40 hrs/week (variable with possible evening and weekend hours) 11-month position.

Green River College's student body is made up of approximately 41% Academic Transfer students, 34% Professional-Technical, 15% Adult Basic Education, 3% Applied Bachelor degrees. Green River College has four campuses, including the main campus in Auburn, with satellite campuses in Kent, downtown Auburn, and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates, Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college), those seeking retraining for the workforce, international students, students learning English, and Continuing Education students. Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of college course work with major or emphasis in the area of Photography and experience in Digital and Analog Darkroom/Lab Management.

Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Photography (BFA preferred)
