Job Title: Associate - Green Room Speakers


Location: Washington, DC


Type: 10-20 hours to start; Opportunity for full-time


Compensation: Hourly, plus commission

I run a dynamic and growing boutique speech coaching firm based in Washington, DC. For the past 20 years, Green Room Speakers has empowered individuals, leaders, and organizations through exceptional public speaking and storytelling skills. We specifically help leaders elevate executive presence, overcome speaking anxiety and adopt an audience-focused approach to communication. Our distinct approach involves helping clients be clear in message and dynamic in presence. Our extensive client list includes fortune 50 companies, large government agencies and contractors, universities, and NGOs. 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate Associate who is excited about public speaking and storytelling and helping others achieve their communication goals. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, possesses strong public speaking and storytelling abilities, and is committed to fostering client relationships. As an Associate, you will play a key role in business development, coaching, training, and client management. The Associate will work closely with the CEO to learn the GRS methodology and process. 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients.
  • Assist in creating and executing marketing strategies to attract new clients.
  • Pursue new client opportunities via conferences and media.

  • Coaching & Training:
  • Master the GRS training approach.
  • Provide one-on-one and group coaching sessions.
  • Assist in developing training materials and programs tailored to client needs.
  • Deliver engaging and effective workshops and seminars.
  • Help clients overcome speaking anxiety through supportive and personalized coaching techniques.
  • Foster an audience-focused approach to communication, helping clients understand and connect with their listeners.


  • Client Management:
  • Manage and nurture client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Track client progress and provide ongoing support and feedback.
  • Handle client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Strong public speaking and storytelling skills.
  • Highly articulate with excellent communication abilities.
  • Self-aware and emotionally intelligent.
  • Creative and organized, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to build rapport with diverse clients.
  • Open to learning and committed to personal and professional growth.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in coaching, training, or a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-starting.
