JOB TITLE: Technology Coordinator (PT)
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
DEFINITION: Under the direction of the Executive Director, create, organize, and track Green Street Academy’s expanding technology-related programs while supporting, on-site hardware used by educators, staff and students to optimize learning.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Experience working in the technology sector
- Extensive work with students in grades 6-12
- Experience working with or within the Baltimore City Public School System
- Successfully completed background check giving permission to work within a school
- On-site support for all technology-based activities (testing, CTE projects, etc.)
- Help to create school-wide technology plan that aligns with vision and mission of the school
- Collect data on use of technology provided to staff by the school
- Deliver meaningful professional development associated with current technology found at the school on an ongoing basis
- Coordinate and track usage of portable electronic labs (laptop carts, iPads/tablets, etc.)
- Support Principal in making any and all technology-related orders via K-12 Buy or using external vendors
- Support technology required for dual-generation education programming
- On-call to support individual staff members as needed with technology-related troubleshooting
- Provide supervision and support for members of BCPSS’s IT Department when on-site
- Create and implement a technology inventory system for school-wide technology
- Support in ongoing editing and additions to the school website as necessary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of instructional materials and equipment.
- Skill in communicating with students, their parents, administrators, and others.
- Technology competency. Knowledge of and skill in the use of database, internet, spreadsheet, word processing, and related applications.
- Ability to properly maintain confidential information.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
The work of this class is generally performed in a school environment. Work may require the ability to move around the school and classroom.
