Description
Green Street seeks highly motivated students with relevant work experience and superior academic credentials to intern within the Market Analytics team for the summer. This role will begin in June 2024.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and maintaining detailed financial models/valuation, projections, and databases
- Applying sound understanding and use of finance and valuation techniques
- Participating in the construction of market analytics and research reports
- Closely following and understanding real estate market activity
- Developing knowledge on the markets and sectors assigned and Green Street’s overall research valuation framework
- Be able to work collaboratively across multiple property sector teams
- Ad-hoc and administrative tasked as needed
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Undergraduate with an expected graduation date of December 2024 - June 2025 with a focus in business, finance, and/or real estate
- 0-3 years of experience in conducting financial/economic research, publicly traded real estate securities, general securities, and capital markets (#Entrylevel)
- Interest in or currently pursuing the CFA designation
- The ability to multi-task effectively while maintaining accuracy
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Collegial and a team-oriented attitude
- Strong working knowledge of financial statements and Microsoft Excel
- Authorization to work in the United States now and in the future, without visa or sponsorship requirements
Working Conditions: This is an onsite position in Newport Beach, CA. The Research Intern will work indoors in an air-conditioned office building and must be able to remain stationary at a desk and computer for a majority of the day.
