Summary
Green Valley Recreation (GVR) is a prominent provider of recreational and leisure services in Green Valley, Arizona. Our mission is to enrich the lives of our community members through well-maintained facilities and exceptional service. We are currently seeking a dedicated Day Porter to join our Field Services team to contribute to the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities.
The Day Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of GVR facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring that our buildings and common areas are clean, safe, and welcoming for our members and guests. The Day Porter will report to the Custodial Supervisor and collaborate with other team members to uphold the highest standards of facility hygiene and presentation.
As a Day Porter at GVR, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the support, cleanliness, safety, and overall positive experience of our facilities. You'll be the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps our recreational spaces in top shape, contributing to the well-being of our members and visitors.
Our Day Porters work 70 hours bi-weekly; Sunday-alternating Wednesday’s or Alternating Wednesday’s through Saturday, Shifts are 8am – 6pm.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, etc. of the indoor and outdoor facilities, per company policy/procedure.
- Monitor and inspect public areas
- Follow protocols as well as the daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cleaning lists to ensure that all rooms, including the fitness center, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Dispose of trash and replenish restroom supplies.
- As needed, support with set up and tear down of events.
- Sweep standing water and ensure that the area is in a neat and orderly condition. Additional clean up required beyond normal policing may be required from time to time.
- Maintain proper inventory of materials and cleaning supplies. Assist with stock and supply deliveries.
- Carry mail and supplies throughout GVR facilities to recreation, facilities and administration.
- Complete assigned work orders, including, but not limited to: moving of related furniture, equipment and supplies on an as-needed basis
- Comply with OSHA, local fire codes, and other regulations as required.
- Inspect facilities for safety hazards and other issues and request necessary repairs via online work order and submit to facilities supervisor as appropriate.
- Verify facilities and club areas are locked properly at the end of each shift.
