Fleet Technician

Position: Fleet Technician

Location: Saint Pauls, NC

Pay: $28 to $31/hour 10% shift differential and $5,000 sign-on bonus!

Experience:

• 5 years of advanced mechanical experience is required
• Experience with air and hydraulic brake systems, air conditioning, general vehicle repair, electrical systems, battery-powered industrial equipment, and hydraulic systems required

Education:

• High school diploma or GED
• Associates degree preferred
• CDL license preferred

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Day Shift; Monday – Friday

Job Description:

• Repair electric engines, diesel motors and propane lifts
• Diagnose and repair hydraulics
• Must be knowledgeable of air brakes and diesel engine
• Perform major repairs on fleet vehicles, light/heavy trucks, vans and forklifts
• Diagnostic troubleshooting and problem-solving; conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
• Trains and assists other fleet technicians as needed
• Responsible for parts, test driving and forklift operations

Position Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to their first day of employment
• CDL license preferred, or must be able to obtain CDL permit by the 15 business day from date of hire
• Must have personal mechanic tools and roll around toolbox
• Practice good work ethic with a desire to grow
• Meet PBV driving qualifications
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Basic welding skills and gasoline, diesel and propane fuel systems experience
