Job summary: This role is responsible for setting growth and profitability objectives and goals, allocating budgets, collaboratively devising near, mid and long-term strategies and developing programs to attract potential clients and maintain existing accounts, with a focus on strategic partnerships. Serves as the conduit of ideas for new product development from all assigned Industries (Aerospace & Defense) and Accounts and advises on emerging industry trends, opportunities, and risks. Ensure growth of market share in assigned Industries (Aerospace & Defense) through successful creation and execution of integrated account plans. Interacts at the highest executive levels of the customer, focusing on the strategic impact of the relationship, co-value creation and realization, and scalable industry solutions that drive profitable growth across product lines. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Contribute to the the annual Strategic Planning process, including budget development, the 2-year, 5-year and 10-year plan, consistent with corporate goals and company policies. Conducts periodic status reviews of strategic goals and objectives to identify roadblocks to progress. Directs analytics function to define data-driven methodologies to analyze business performance metrics and process improvements options. Recalibrates as needed. In partnership with marketing, learns, analyzes and visualizes information about industry and market trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats and possible business opportunities. Guides discussions and contributes insight derived from knowledge and analysis of the industry, roadmap and competitors, value of company and products, in order to recommend entering new markets, developing products or stopping production of existing products. Identify and quantify the likely contribution of major business segments based on market growth and competitive position Provides mentorship to harness the softer skills required of the team to facilitate a standardized strategic selling approach to the industry, create deep and loyal partnerships within accounts, and drive their teams to successfully achieve market and product share gain Supports leader of Account Management CoE to facilitate the strategic account management process including selection, planning and review for all assigned strategic accounts and sites Partners with Product Line & Operations Directors to coordinate plans to implement the business strategy; works with colleagues to identify what each department needs to do to make the collective go-to-market strategy work. Translate all industry trends, needs and requirements into the organization’s product line development and operations teams Visualizes industry and account demand into the IBP process. Creates forecasts to translate all market trends into an integrated demand plan. Ensures industry expertise and brand recognition for the industry segment Ensures active deal (price) management is occurring following list pricing methodologies from the Product Lines. In conjunction with contract management & legal function, lead contract negotiation and lifecycle management for commercial contracts specific to assigned industry & accounts. Required Minimum Qualifications Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree preferred Skills and Experience: 12 years of proven consultative or solution based commercial experience, preferably within relevant industry Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including people development/coaching, objective setting and performance management skills Technical Knowledge - Must have the capability to understand the technical applications of our products and represent products positively. Ability to manage effectively in a multicultural, multinational environment and mobilize high performance teams Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including the delegation of tasks and holding others accountable Proven ability to translate market trends into sales forecast Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills Cultural knowledge, cognizance and understanding of acceptable behavioral practices and cultural differences in the business and social environment.
