By becoming a Greenheart Exchange Local Coordinator, you have the opportunity to change the world by bringing cultural exchange to your community. Local Coordinators are independent contractors who find American host families and match them to international high school exchange students from over 60 different countries.
Duties:
- Willingness to engage people in conversations and ask them to become volunteer host families
- Professionally represent Greenheart Exchange in your community
- Find host families, maintain relationships with schools, and raise awareness about student exchange
- Maintain contact with updates to your Regional Manager (reporting a minimum of 2-4 times a month)
- Facilitate required in-person orientations
- Maintain a minimum of once a month contact with the host family and student

- Must be 26 years old.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- This is an independent contractor job and you must be able to make at least 1 placement with a Host Family that you provide every season
- This is a job that pays per placement and is not a salary/hourly position
- You must be a self-starter and be able to talk to people about hosting
- You will hear many tell you no.
- You must maintain regular communication
Compensation:
- Starting - $700 placement commission ( early placement bonuses available through June*) per student placed.
- Plus $600 monitoring commission split and paid out in October, February, and departure per student monitored.
- Plus the opportunity to earn award travel to attend the Annual Greenheart Exchange Incentive Conference (all expenses paid). Past destinations have included Barcelona, Rome, Munich, Budapest, Athens, and Miami. Incentive trip for November 2024 is Italy.
- Additional Incentives may be offered throughout the year
- Bonus Payments (full year and first semester students only - does not count toward Second Semester Students)
- $400 per placement incentive placed between now and March 31, 2024
- $500 for student being placed in requested state (3 choices)
- $600 for student being placed in requested state (2 choices)
- $700 for student being placed in a requested Urban/Suburban area (30k ppl or more)
- $0 fees or cost to become a Local Coordinator
- Free access to online marketing and promotional materials
- Comprehensive online training sessions on how to be successful
- Access to complete student database with downloadable forms and student bios
- Supervisory support from a full time Regional Manager and Director and 24 hour Emergency Services Hotline
- Have curiosity about other cultures
- Connect with their community and are willing to reach outside their comfort zone to achieve goals
- Have good problem-solving skills
