Project Accountant

GPI is seeking an experienced, full-time Project Accountant to join our Scott Depot or Morgantown, WV office. Our team members are collaborative, detail-oriented, and love to be challenged. When you join our team, you will work closely with our Project Managers to process complex and detailed contracts and invoices for the West Virginia Department of Highways.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process client invoices consistent with contract terms, client requirements, and company procedures
• Maintain projects based on contracts and contract amendments
• Having a general understanding of AEC project contracts, experience with the WVDOH is a plus.
• Produce routine management reports and other reports as requested
• Provide additional analytical support regarding project status and performance as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in accounting or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• AEC industry experience is preferred
• 3 years of invoicing experience is preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus
• Working knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language
• Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails, and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
