ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW
Greenville Center for Creative Arts (GCCA) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2015 by a dedicated group of artists, arts advocates, and community leaders. Located in the historic Brandon Mill in the Village of West Greenville, GCCA’s mission is to enrich the cultural fabric of the community through visual arts promotion, education, and inspiration. It is the only art center of its kind in the Greenville, SC area, specializing in hands-on visual arts instruction. GCCA offers art classes for all ages and skill levels, private artist studios, free high-profile public exhibitions, and innovative outreach programs for underserved children and young emerging artists. Its vision is to build an engine for creativity and community building that crosses boundaries and overcomes barriers.

POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Operations Manager oversees and coordinates GCCA operational functions and assists with ancillary support services to facilitate a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for the organization’s artists, staff, vendors, and stakeholders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversight and implementation of the CRM system for studio artist agreements, volunteers, vendors, and other agency contacts as needed.
- Supports financial administration, including reconciliation of deposits, and invoices; and management of electronic payment platforms.
- Manages rental of artist studios, including lease agreements, renewals, onboarding, invoicing, maintenance, and artist engagement.
- Oversees facility maintenance, including the coordination and monitoring of repairs, renovations, cleaning, security, and safety.
- Provides administrative support including but not limited to maintaining office phone, copier, and computer systems; managing supply inventory; and coordinating USPS mail permit deposits, P.O. box fees, and mail collection.
- Supports logistical needs related to events and meetings including invitations, materials duplication, room set-up, clean up, security, parking, rentals, and catering coordination.
- Coordinates logistics related to room/event rentals and reservations and serves as on-site event manager.
- Coordinates schedules and tasks for administrative volunteers and part-time front desk staff.
- Provides support for human resources functions, such as job posting, background checks, staff onboarding, and assistance in filing HR-related forms and reports.
- Provide IT support with contracted technology vendors to oversee scheduling of needs for staff and organization.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Two or more years of relevant administrative experience managing an office or organization’s operations.
- Strong oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
- Friendly, self-motivated and driven, with customer service focus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with an emphasis on process and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Natural problem-solver.
- Effective management of multiple responsibilities and flexibility to deal with shifting priorities and facilities issues associated with a historic building.
- Proficiency in CRM management, as well as Google Suite and Microsoft Office platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree and some non-profit experience preferred.
- High energy and passion for GCCA’s mission.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This is a full-time (40 hours/week), exempt position with some evening and weekend work required. GCCA supports some flexible work from home hybrid options with prior approval. The salary range for this role is $30-38,000 annually. Employees of GCCA are reimbursed at 100% for the premiums of individual (employee only) medical, dental, and vision coverage. GCCA provides short-term and long-term disability insurance for all exempt employees at no charge. GCCA provides a 401K plan for all exempt employees, however GCCA does not contribute to the plan. Other benefits include competitive PTO and annual holiday leave.
