The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for daily logistics and administrative functions related to the execution of logistics workflows, international and domestic transportation Logistics, and customer requirements. This role will be carried out in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Department of Transportation, the International Air Transport Organization, the International Maritime Organization, International Export/Import Customs Regulations and Service Agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth and efficient import and export operations by reviewing contracts, processes, and identifying potential trade and compliance issues.
- Classify all parts under the Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) and ECCN classifications.
- Maintain systems and operational processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the classification products: work with various data sources, technical experts, engineers, product and sourcing managers located in three different locations and others to obtain and interpret the data (including specification documents, schematics, product descriptions, and other technical data) necessary for accurate classification.
- Support export shipping to ensure shipping documents are accurate, and export filings are correct and timely.
- Manage import entry audits and recommend efficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Requires 1-3 years work experience with international shipping, customs, import/export, trade/compliance, including knowledge and proficiency with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes.
· 2-year business degree desirable, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
· Prior work experience with import entry audits.
· Familiarity with incoterms is strongly preferred.
· Previous experience in import/export regulations is essential.
· Prior experience with Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings via the ACE Secure Data Portal.
· This position requires a strong attention to detail and highly developed multitasking skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to operate in a fast-paced culture and be able to work and drive productivity independently. Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills as well as excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
