What are the responsibilities and job description for the Homeschool Co-op Teacher position at Greenwood Homeschool Co-op?
GENERAL DESCRIPTION. We are looking for an energetic, patient, loving, and dynamic individual to serve as a mentor, wrangler, collaborator, ambassador, and role model for our little pod of between 2 and 6 homeschool co-op children, ages 4-10. The position is a 12 week temporary position for now with the possibility to roll into next year if we find a good fit in each other. There are likely to be one or two other homeschool parents present fairly regularly who can also assist, but because their presence is not guaranteed we need a core leader to consistently guide the children.
COMPENSATION.
12 weeks Mar 14 - June 3
830-430 M-Th
$8400 stipend, payable in 3 monthly installments of $2800 each
IDEAL CANDIDATE. The ideal candidate for this position is comfortable unmasked in a remote, rural setting, and respects other’s medical freedom; is creative, unconventional, and full of energy and enthusiasm; loves children; enjoys hiking and being active; and is comfortable using an existing curriculum (Oak Meadow) as a guide but adjusting, changing, or supplementing to accommodate the group’s interests, the weather, or unforeseen opportunities or challenges as they arise.

We are in an isolated, rural area of Maine and good fit for us would be someone who is not distressed at the idea of working un-masked in this low-risk environment. We do not believe in violating the personal medical freedom of our team members.
