What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sorting Inspector position at Greer Stop Nut?
Greer Stop Nut in Nashville, TN has an immediate opening for a Sorting Inspector to sort and carefully examine finished products before they are shipped to the customer. Candidates should have prior relevant experience inspecting items for defects and/or blemishes, as well as any variances from the required standards.

Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday - Friday (with occasional Overtime opportunities)
Position Summary:
- In this role, Sorting Inspectors review samples of parts (locking nuts) to ensure they meet all required parameters. Acceptable parts are moved onward and prepped for shipping, while non-conforming parts are either re-worked or scrapped.
- Mostly sedentary work. Good vision and attention to detail is needed. Occasional use of trimming tools, inspection gauges, and pallet jacks to move bins of materials. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
Qualifications:
- One or more years of relevant Manufacturing or Quality related experience.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Must be able to show proof of U.S. Person status (birth certificate, U.S. Passport, or Permanent Resident Card) due to ITAR U.S. Export Compliance requirements.
