We are looking for an experienced painter to join our Body Shop team at our Norwalk, IA Chevrolet location.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Managing multiple auto body painting projects at the same time
- Willing to complete painting assignments to meet demanding schedule
- Will inspect quality output of body work from body technicians as assignments are sent to the Paint Department
- Communicate with Management on status of all assignments
- Preparing assignments by sanding, masking and covering parts of the vehicle as needed
- Knowledge of paint mixing processes
- Properly handle all materials and dispose of waste in proper and professional manner
Qualifications and Skills
- Painting and Body: 2 years experience
- Need a valid drivers license
- Need to be a good team player
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have excellent work ethics and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Solvent based and Water based paint products preferred
- Must be able to handle a fast paced environment
- Must be available and able to work additional hours to meet the heavy demands of the Paint Department
