019663 Social Media and Content Creation Specialist (Open)Job Description:
The Social Media and Content Specialist is responsible for planning, creating, editing and publishing digital content for Greif’s (and subsidiaries) social media networks and websites to inform and engage both internal and external stakeholders. This position will establish manage the strategic thought leadership for some of the executive leadership of Greif. This position partners closely with senior leaders, sales leaders, product managers, marketing leaders, the sustainability team and other internal stakeholders to craft compelling content and messages that ultimately help Greif grow its revenue. Ultimately, this candidate will need to collaborate across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet Greif’s business objectives in the most efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities :
Social Media
- Establishes the strategy and manages Greif’s social media presence ensuring content and conversations are engaging and meaningful with constituents.
- Monitors conversations and coordinates responses.
- Creates Greif sub accounts and manages and approves content owners.
- Helps to establish senior Greif executives as thought leaders by taking on their persona as needed
- Researches the effectiveness of current and potential channels utilizing analytics, etc. Monitors usage and generates reports on meaningful engagement metrics. Responds to messages and comments according to Greif’s guidelines.
- Serves as a member of Greif’s crisis communications team and helps to communicate responses to emergencies and crisis as needed
Content
- Spearheads the development, implementation and coordination of Greif’s content strategy, including building a content calendar, creating a writing process and delivery strategy, interfacing with external agencies and ultimately, crafting interesting and well-researched content that drives traffic and engages social media and website visitors. Content includes: white papers, blog posts, website copy, social media posts, eBooks, case studies, webinars, videos, presentations, speeches, and other content as needed
- Pushes the business to adopt better content creation practices through frequent testing of new content formats and distribution channels
- Stays up-to-date with the latest industry trends and customer challenges in order to build a more effective editorial calendar and stimulating content strategy
Video
- Produces, or coordinates the production, of videos to be used in digital channels as needed.
- Determines the criteria and best practices to be used in a variety of digital channels.
Internet
- Work with the Digital Marketing Specialist to coordinate on targeted campaigns and evaluate performance.
Education and Experience :
- Requires a bachelor's degree in English, journalism, mass communications or digital marketing;
- At least five years of experience in digital communications including a variety of digital platforms and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Effective at managing multiple and quickly changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Resourceful collaborator capable of cultivating relationships at all levels of the company.
- Adept at determining and adjusting priorities and problem-solving independently.
- Preferred background in a corporate setting.
