Greywind is an elegant, culinary showcase by Chef Dan Kluger offering a locally sourced, seasonally-driven, and refined dining experience in Hudson Yards.

The Events Manager is responsible for managing private events, administrative event needs, and execution, when necessary, post-sale of the event.

Event Responsibilities Overview

Work in collaboration with the events sales team on the following tasks:

 Daily Administrative Tasks:

  • Event communications with clients once contracts are received
  • Printing/posting/managing all BEOs for Chefs/Dining Room management teams
  • Update picklists with seasonal menu updates as they happen
  • Update Resy with all confirmed events and client information / on-site contact
  • Create a daily event soigne list
  • Manages all rental orders when necessary
  • Updates notes/BEO with any additional information specific to service and event needs
  • Creates/prints all printed menus
  • Collaborates with sales director on ongoing, existing event sales projects and outreach

Events Management inclusive of (but not limited to):

  • Greets event clients upon arrival
  • Collaborates with team to assign service team to events
  • Review all BEOS for that day’s event with the service team
  • Oversees team for event set up
  • Execution of events when necessary (all Greywind buyouts and Set Club/Loft events)
  • Starts event closing report each day/closing manager adds in additional information as needed

    • Performs duties as workload necessitates
    • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude
    • Communicates regularly with supervisors about Department issues
    • Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
    • Consistently reports to work on time and prepared to perform duties of the position
    • Effectively communicates with all BOH and FOH
    • Has a complete understanding of work safety and emergency procedure
    • Able to work a flexible schedule and holidays 
    • Able to be scheduled to open and close the outlets
    • Ability to pay attention to detail, handle multiple tasks at once, and show high patience.
  • Possess good math and English skills for calculating, communicating, writing requisitions/completing food inventories, and retrieving information as needed
  • Possess a NYC Food Handler Certificate
    • Ability to proficiently use the following programs:
      • Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word
      • Toast, Resy, and TripleSeat

While performing the duties of this job, the Event Manager is seated at a desk, and will also be regularly required to stand for long periods, use hands and fingers, communicate verbally, and hear. The Event Manager is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, taste, and smell. The Event Manager is also occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and either lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
