The Opportunity…
The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the growth of GRID IE’s grant development and donor base, and assisting with the administration and compliance of multi-year government, philanthropic and corporate awards in collaboration with regional leadership team, and under the supervision of GRID IE’s Development Manager for the benefit of the economic and environmental justice communities in the region.

What you need to bring to this role…
  • Prospect, develop philanthropic relationships, and steward individual donors for annual-giving, membership giving, fundraising campaign, fundraising event, and corporate sponsorship giving
  • Represent the organization to potential donors, funders, sponsors, and the general community, including planning and participation in corporate sponsored volunteer events
  • Donor acknowledgement, and tracking donations using our Salesforce.com CRM database
  • Expand donors through research, networking opportunities, relationship building and outreach
  • Collaborate with GRID IE Development Manager to support the implementation of local campaigns and cultivation events to raise individual donations from local individual donors
  • Provide grant management and administrative support with donor engagement, development and coordination of fundraising programs
  • Ability to provide administrative and compliance support for responsibilities associated with government, foundation, and corporate awards, including timely submission of narrative reports, and any other information required pursuant to the terms of awards
  • Engage with confidential and sensitive information of a broad scope related to donor relations and grant funding
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (ability to represent GRID Alternatives with prospective funders and donors)
  • Conduct work in attention to detail, time-conscious, comprehensive oversight
  • Strong desire to work with/in diverse communities
  • Hired CA candidates must be able to pass a screening for drugs that are illegal in the state of California, including: amphetamine, cocaine metabolite, opiates, and PCP.

Where you will sit & the places you may go...
This position may require up to 25% out-of-town travel to regional offices and special projects. Availability to work nights and weekends may be required.

GRID Alternatives may provide vehicles for work travel and/or travel reimbursement for personal vehicle use. In this instance, applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.

(All U.S. Remote, U.S. Remote/Location Flexible, U.S. Remote/Hybrid opportunities require U.S. residency. Proof of U.S. residency will be required.)

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Hourly pay commensurate with experience within the pay band {$25-$29/hr | $52k-$60k}, plus the benefits below.
