Master Scheduler

Southland Steel Fabricators is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Master Scheduler to join our team. The Master Scheduler will be responsible for managing the production schedule, ensuring timely delivery of products, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet customer demand .

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Aligns production schedules with customer requirements.
• Anticipate and mitigate potential scheduling conflicts, resource shortages, and other operational challenges.
• Communicate with PM’s, Managers, & Manufacturing personnel and adjust schedule.
• Create a master schedule in which priority due dates are equal to need dates and planned capacity equals required capacity.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in production processes, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
• Import and Export Project/Schedule Data, insuring successful data transfers.
• Monitor and analyze schedule performance, identifying potential delays or bottlenecks and recommending corrective actions.
• Monitor daily production schedules and manage past due reporting, collaborating with shop floor on root cause of delay and rescheduling past dues as appropriate.
• Must have strong analytic capability.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Team with production, quality control, and shipping to resolve scheduling issues and minimize disruptions.
• Work with Project Managers and Logistics teams to establish appropriate promised shipment dates for new and/or revised customer orders.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications

• A Strong understanding of Industrial Structural Fabrication processes and production planning Principles.
• Ability to work under pressure effectively and professionally, in a team-oriented environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities.
• Advanced PC skills, with emphasis on spreadsheets.
• Bachelor's Degree in related discipline. Will consider candidates with 5 or more years of experience in Fabrication Scheduling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
