Job Description: Utility Locator

Location: Florissant, MO, 63031

Job Summary:

The Utility Locator will be responsible for locating and marking underground utilities, such as gas, electric, water, and sewer lines, using specialized equipment and techniques. The Utility Locator will work closely with construction crews and utility companies to ensure that excavation work is done safely and without damaging any underground utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use specialized equipment and techniques to locate and mark underground utilities
  • Work closely with construction crews and utility companies to ensure that excavation work is done safely and without damaging any underground utilities
  • Communicate with customers and property owners to explain the utility locating process and answer any questions they may have
  • Maintain accurate records of all utility locating activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to read and interpret maps and blueprints
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Education and Experience:

No prior experience required. On-the-job training will be provided.
