Job Summary:
GridPoint is growing rapidly. Because our product is delivered as an equipment-enabled energy management subscription service, we rely on a delivery process that is seamless for our customers. The Director, Project Implementation is responsible for managing a team of delivery managers with responsibility (defining scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity, and resource management activities) for delivering complex projects or programs surrounding the installation of our energy solution(s) and decentralized energy assets like generators, electric vehicle chargers and battery storage. They will plan, assign, and supervise the work of the Project Implementation team; maintain direct communication with vendors and customers; and work under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position performs complex management activities including providing direction and guidance to subcontractors, establishing priorities, and driving the execution of strategic and tactical plans.
The position reports to the Sr. Director, Delivery. Will consider remote candidates.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction to the Project Implementation team
- Responsible for the successful delivery of a large and growing project portfolio measured against schedule, cost, and quality.
- Establish department goals and performance metrics, ensuring plans are in place and properly executed, organizing the work based upon best practices, and overseeing day-to-day operations of the team and subcontractors.
- Responsible for department budget, overall planning, and allocation of resources.
- Responsible for building, developing, and mentoring team members.
- Responsible for employee performance plans and reviews.
- Lead, manage, and/or sponsor continuous improvement plans with the team.
- Responsible for vendor and contract management and acts as a primary escalation point.
- Oversight of change orders and claims.
- Responsible and/or supports the preparation, review, and response to RFP’s.
- Accountable for adherence to all relevant permitting and compliance requirements.
- Monitors milestone and adherence to budgets and SLAs, and initiates actions to minimize non-conformance cost.
- Maintains constant communication to customers, outside contractors or other stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7 years of leadership and professional experience in the energy industry.
- 3-5 years of P&L responsibility.
- Degree from an accredited college.
- Experience building and leading a high performing, geographically dispersed team.
- Experience in facility management, HVAC, Energy Management System, Building Automation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Certification/Licenses: LEED AP, PE, Electrical/Mechanical, Energy, Certified Energy Manager.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project or other project software.
- Knowledge of building technology, facility management, and/or HVAC /electrical subcontracting.
- Experienced interfacing with executive level contacts and comfortable in presentation setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, team building, organizational, time-management and planning skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage vendors including negotiating skills.
- Ability to think creatively and support creative thinking in others.
- Ability to convey complex technical information simply and concisely.
- Ability to scope accurate Statements of Work that properly outline deliverables for client projects.
- Knowledge or demand response programs, supporting channel and utility programs a plus.
