Title: Materials ManagerLocation: Avon, OH Reports to: Director, Supply Chain Management The Material Manager establishes and directs the material availability and working capital levels for raw materials to support customer demands while meeting corporate goals. This position has influence over both Custom Culinary Manufacturing Facilities in Avon, OH and Oswego, IL.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ownership and maintenance of MRP Planning and Inventory parameters in ERP for Purchased items. (i.e. Coverage groups, Safety Stocks, etc.)Ensure daily execution on: RM availability to support production schedules, proactive communication of issues that may affect production plan and/or sales orders.Lead the At-Risk Inventory process to drive down Loss on Inventory costs by identifying materials at-risk due to expiration, lost business, slow-movement, or excessive days on hand.Owns, measures and drives improvement over Supplier Service Level.Owns, measures and drives improvement over OEE lost due to material delays.Oversees the movement of material and the processing of orders through all warehouses and 3rd party manufacturers in meeting customer timetablesParticipate in the Sales and Operations Planning cycle, focus on RM availability, potential stock out risks and at-risk inventory.Develop and review Personal Action Goals, Supervision, support to Material planner.Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Works with corporate purchasing to optimize.Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality personnel, user, vendors, R&D and others to determine source of issues and take corrective action.Support to Customer demand urgencies and changes in demand.First level of approval for Expedited RM costs.Participate in developing, planning and achieving plant operational goals/targets.Applies company materials management policies, process and procedures. Assists in developing new procedures, as necessary.Manage, collaborate with and oversee work of one Material Planner.Ensures safety, quality, legality, and authenticity of products in accordance with regulations and standards, as this role dictates.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or related degree5 years of inventory management and planning experience5 years’ experience in Systems: order processing, ERP platforms, planning, forecasting, and Microsoft tools necessary3 years of experience managing direct reportsSignificant proficiency using Microsoft Excel (mastery in pivot tables; Macros and other advanced tools – desirable).Ability to compile reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Flexibility - ability to prioritize work activities and projects; capability to work with frequent interruptions is required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EOE – Vet/Disability EEO Notice of Rights
