Job Description
We are currently seeking a Research Development Officer responsible for identifying and developing opportunities for research proposals within the Health Group to access significant external research grant funding sources. You will join our existing team of two Research Development Officers.
Reporting to the Dean, Research (Health), the Research Development Officer will work closely with researchers across the Group’s five Schools, Research Institute, and Centre providing support for research development, and facilitating applications for external funding. The post holder will liaise closely with the Research Grants and Research Development teams in the University’s Office of Research.
This is a fixed term (2 years), full-time position based at either our Nathan or Gold Coast campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Qualifications
As the successful candidate, your experience in similar positions will enable you to provide in-depth assistance to academic staff throughout the grant application life cycle. Your demonstrated understanding of international and national research policies, combined with well-developed communication skills, will contribute to the generation of high-quality and competitive research grant applications. Your high level of organisational skills will guarantee that you are able to meet tight deadlines.
Salary range
The full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 8 range $105,596 - $118,792 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $123,547 - $138,987 per annum.
