TITLE: FOOD SAFETY RECORD KEEPING
LOCATION: PASCO, WASHINGTON
COMPENSATION: $19.25 / HOUR
PURPOSE:
Monitors the food safety and quality records during production and report findings to the Food Safety Compliance Specialist. Perform secretarial work for food safety related activities across multiple departments, including maintenance, sanitation, operations and shipping. Maintain documents and records. Distribute food safety paperwork to appropriate personnel.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
Responsible for thoroughly overseeing the Internal Audit Program and ensure Corrective Actions are being completed in a timely manner. Check, monitor and maintain all plant foot baths concentrations, have all sanitizing stations ready prior for start-up. Weekly Pest Control walk through with Pest Control Officer and report any findings. Daily Inventory of Sanitation Chemical Usage. Oversee the Master Cleaning Schedule and Locker Inspections are maintained. Provide all required paperwork and documentation as needed to appropriate parties. Perform GMP daily walkthroughs. Record reviewer for all Food Safety Departments documentation. Create and Update SQF forms as needed. Track and review all customer complaints, corrective action follow-ups. Must be able to review Food Safety documentation for accuracy. Train new employees on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s). Evaluate and document Food Safety findings. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all personnel. May be asked to rotate to a different area of the plant (same position and shift) based on the business needs. It is the employee's responsibility to adhere to and enforce all food safety policies and procedures as they relate to their specific job function. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position throughout much of the working day. Ability to move in food processing facilities (sometimes through narrow passages, in wet areas, or on elevated platforms). Ability to continuously work with product and equipment at ground level. Ability to inspect equipment and product. Must be able to work in different temperatures (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 110° F and as cold as -20° F to 32° F). Must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to move items weighing up to 40lbs.
