Qualifications:
- Experience as an Optician, ABO certification is a plus, but not required
- Strong computer skills and typing is a must
- Reliable, dependable and punctual

Responsibilities:
Opticians are responsible for all aspects of the patient optical retail experience. The Optician is responsible for delivering first class service to all patients and visitors, selling and recommending quality products and services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting patients with selection, fitting, adjustments and repairing eyewear
- Entering orders to be processed
- Verifying and billing insurance
- Entering payments into optical system
- Frame board management and cleaning
- Calling patients for pick-ups and follow up calls
- Troubleshooting eyeglasses
- Problem-solving patient concerns
- Lab, cutting and edging lenses
- Maintaining an organized optical shop
- Maintain inventory while keeping back stock to a minimum
- Must be willing to travel as needed between our Olathe and Leawood office
- Other responsibilities assigned by the Operations Manager

Work environment: Setting typical of an ophthalmology medical practice with office type features. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to bio-hazard risks.
