In-home Caregiver

Job Summary:

Griswold Home Care for West Houston is seeking a compassionate and dedicated In-home Caregiver to join our team on a part-time basis. Our caregivers provide in-home care to clients in Houston, Texas, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. As an individual contributor, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients and promoting their overall well-being.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is an hourly healthcare/medical position with a rate of $13 per hour. The caregiver will be paid biweekly and will also be eligible for the following benefits:

Responsibilities:

- Providing personal care services to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
- Administering medication as directed by a healthcare professional
- Assisting with mobility and transfers
- Light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, changing linens, and tidying up common areas
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Reporting any changes in a client's condition or needs to the appropriate supervisor
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of care provided

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a caregiving or healthcare setting, preferably with seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow written instructions and care plans
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
