Job Requirements:
Minimum Education
Must be a Registered Nurse with a current Idaho License
Must maintain Basic Life Support certification
Occupational Health Certification desirable but not required
Required Licenses
[Idaho, United States] Registered Nurse
Current registered nursing license in the State of Idaho and Washington or compact state.
Minimum Work Experience
Three (3) years previous nursing experience
Background in Employee Health and Occupational Health desired but not required
Required Skills
Possess knowledge, treating of, and reporting of communicable diseases.
Possess knowledge vaccinations and other healthcare requirements.
Able to perform clinical skills such as immunizations, screenings and blood titers.
Current knowledge of OSHA and CDC requirements.
Knowledge of Workman Compensation regulations and processes.
Must demonstrate performance in Gritman Medical Centers and department specific core nursing competencies.
Computer proficiency with Word and Excel.
Strong communication skills verbal and written.
Organizational ability.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to work in a fast paced demanding role.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the development and administration of efficient, professional operations of occupational and employee health services in accordance with Gritman’s policies, practices, procedures, and applicable regulations to achieve the desired goals and objectives.
- Develops innovative and business-compatible health and safety programs, in response to Gritman’s type of work, workforce and work/community environments.
- Ability to guide an injured employee through the Workman Compensation process until they are able to return to work.
- Assist all new employees and contracted employees with new hire and annual vaccinations and other healthcare requirements.
- Work with client companies collaborating with outside resources for program development such as healthcare providers, insurance companies, third party administrators, legal advisors, the state industrial commission and medical staff.
- Promotes an interdisciplinary approach to healthcare and advocate for the employee’s right to prevention-oriented, cost effective health and safety..
- Oversee and educate compliance with regulatory requirements in employee health matters related to clinical and departmental operations and Gritman policies.
- Responsible for securing and developing records and programs related to occupational/employee health services.
- Serves as a permanent member of the Safety Committee and the Infection Prevention Sub-Committee and works cooperatively with the Infection Prevention Nurse/Officer, the Infectious Disease Physician, ED Physicians, Public Health and regulatory agencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
