Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our team as an Assistant Store Manager. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for running and fitness, along with a proven track record of leadership in a retail environment. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall success of the store by assisting with daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

Compensation: $20/hr during training, converting to annual salary of $45,000 after completion of training.

Schedule: varies with Store hours and needs

Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership:
  • Supervise and motivate a team of sales associates.
  • Provide coaching and training to enhance staff product knowledge and customer service skills.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Customer Service:
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of product features and benefits to assist customers effectively.
• Operations:
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the store.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with merchandise replenishment.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager on visual merchandising and product displays.
• Sales and Goals:
  • Contribute to the achievement of sales targets and KPIs.
  • Implement sales strategies to maximize store performance.
  • Analyze sales reports and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Training and Development:
  • Participate in ongoing training programs for self and team members.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement training initiatives accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Previous retail management experience, preferably in a footwear or athletic apparel setting.
• Passion for running and an understanding of the running and fitness industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to drive sales and achieve targets.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
