What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at Groe Advisors?
GENERAL SUMMARY
Maintain quality standards by assembling and inspecting all finished Nitrodoser products and recording quality results according to Quality Management System Procedures.
Parts to be tested typically weigh up to fifty pounds. During this process the operator will connect different mechanical connections including vacuum couplings, sanitary pressure clamps, and various pipe threaded connections by hand (on a light day 15-25 times on a busy day 75-100 times).
The technician will be responsible for performing final inspection on all products following QMS procedures. Results are to be monitored and recorded/filed according to job number and serial number to the correct file location on the company’s server. Non-conforming results are to be brought to the attention of both the Manufacturing and General Manager. The technician will also connect liquid nitrogen for the cold shock portion of the final test. The final assemblies can be cumbersome to handle due to size and weight. Some lifting is required
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
- Approves in-process materials by performing cryogenic and performance testing to QMS procedures, rejecting unacceptable materials and forwarding results to both the welder and Manufacturing Manager, rejected items will require notification to the Manufacturing and General Manager.
- Inputting test results to the database
- Follow companies planning list to ensure all finished Nitrodoser products are tested per the scheduled ship dates.
- Maintain safe and organized work environment
- Assemble various mechanical assemblies and follow detailed instructions from engineered drawings.
- Evaluate and record test results on all customer returned Nitrodoser products, results to be forwarded to Quality Control Engineer.
