Groome Industrial Service Group is a growing company located in Fair Oaks, CA providing specialty maintenance services nationwide utilizing explosive blasting to deslag coal fired boilers, biomass boilers, fuel oil boilers, and their components.
We train all personnel to become skilled technicians in a highly competitive industry. Entry level positions are available with quick advancement opportunities.
Our personnel travel from Fair Oaks, CA to respond to calls for service at power generation plants. These individuals will be trained to de-slag large utility boilers using explosives and assisting with the setup and teardown of the work site equipment plus shop responsibilities when not traveling.
This is a rewarding career for anyone looking to find an employer that retains personnel for the long term. There may be Explosives Blasting apprenticeship programs for anyone identified to meet certain qualifications.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- No felony or family violence convictions.
- Must be able to work long hours on your feet in extreme heat.
- Must not be afraid of heights.
- Must have reliable transportation, live within an hour of El Dorado Hills, CA and willing to be on call 24/7.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
Full-time position starts at $27k salary $15/hr. Company-sponsored medical & life benefits, PTO and 401k. Compensation advancement opportunities are available to employees.
