Position Overview:
The Main Line Technician is responsible for understanding and completing routine mechanical repairs required to recondition vehicles to a high company standard. In addition, the Technician will perform general repairs and diagnosis with assistance and adequately use the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle. Specific factory training is not required but is a plus. Areas of knowledge include but are not limited to engine, transmission, drivability, cooling system, brake system, electronics, steering and suspension, and HVAC.
Competitive flat rate pay starting at $28.00 up to $50.00 per hour based on experience and certifications

- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Able to work as a team player and interact with customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional courteous manner
Essential Functions:
- Ensure current knowledge of the latest technical data and service procedures
- Attend required service training sessions or meetings and share expertise with others
- Maintain the basic tools necessary to complete assigned jobs
- Maintain the ability to use all company equipment and tools correctly, or seek assistance as needed; clean and lock up all tools daily
- Complete "technician inspection" thoroughly
- Perform quality repairs; have a "fix the vehicle right the first time" mentality
- Advise ASM of needed repairs, including parts needs; advise the manager of any changes or deviations from the original repair instructions on the repair order
- Complete comprehensive documentation of cause/correction, specifications, and any other pertinent information needed to describe repair activities
- Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area at all times
- Assist in the cleanup of the team area each evening
- Clock on and off all repair orders as required
- Perform PDI following the guidelines on the manufacturer's check sheets, including road test
- Maintain a positive attitude when dealing with management, parts personnel, and other technicians
Requirements:
- Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen for illegal substances
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
