O&M Field Technician - Environmental Remediation

Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES), an industry leader with a reputation for excellence in providing environmental consulting, engineering, compliance, and technical field services to clients in diverse market sectors, seeks O&M Environmental Field Technicians to support fieldwork activities for our Long Island, NY Project site Bethpage.

Position Expectations:

• Complete routine daily monitoring of the treatment system.
• Complete routine and non-routine maintenance activities.
• Oversee subcontractors onsite.
• Track system data digitally on a daily/weekly basis.
• Prepare routine monthly reports related to system operation & maintenance, and upcoming maintenance activities.
• Assist with groundwater gauging and sampling activities on-site.
• Complete grounds maintenance related to maintaining access to wells and treatment buildings.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills – will be coordinating directly with several client personnel on a daily basis.

Skills & Requirements:

• O&M Technician with a minimum of 5 years experience performing similar O&M services
• Environmental Scientist or Environmental Engineer with a Bachelors degree in Environmental sciences, geology or engineering with direct relevant experience as an operator providing similar O&M services
• At least 2 full years of operating groundwater treatment systems
