Job Description
As the Field Safety Manager, you will engage in the implementation, validation and assessment of company sponsored safety action items such as delivering hands on trainings and train the trainer sessions, facilitating audits and compliance inspections, delivering toolbox talks, visiting jobsites, validating work methods and much more! With extensive time spent in the field at and Brach facilities, the FSM will connect with local management teams to support their mission as well as engage with front line teammates to ensure overall compliance and safety in the field.
Salary - $70,000-$80,000 annually
Vehicle - included
Travel - up to 50%
Responsibilities & Duties:
The Field Safety Manager’s duties will include but are not limited to –
- Analyzing data and loss trends to target prevention activities and training
- Conduct root cause investigations on losses and near misses
- Ensure Branch level compliance to Groundworks sponsored SOPs
- Deliver and implement hands on trainings
- Customize training materials to suite Branch specific needs
- Facilitate audits and inspections
- Provide solutions where gaps in the program are identified and implement actionable resolutions
- Ensure local Branches are maintaining accurate records and files
- Train the trainer coaching for local leadership teams
- External compliance to agencies such as OSHA, DOT & EPA
Qualifications
Required –
- 4-year degree in safety, risk management, operations management or related field
- 4 years’ experience in managing safety programs in construction or similar field
- Professional certification in Safety or Risk Management
- Experience with OSHA & DOT regulations
- Extensive knowledge of construction Code of Federal Regulation
- Understand TRIR/DART and loss ratio rates
- Business acumen with respect to Safety and Risk Management
- Technical proficiency with computers, tablets, phones, and cameras
- Ability to coach and give feedback to observed behaviors or techniques
Preferred-
- Experience managing an operation’s P&L
- Experience in construction
- Proficiency with fleet GPS telematics software
