Group Management Services (GMS) is seeking to hire a full time Workers Compensation Claims Specialist II in the Richfield, OH office.
What does a WC Claims Specialist II do?
The WC Claims Specialist level II will examine, adjust, and manage claims for client company's workers compensation benefits.
A list of some essential duties and responsibilities:
- Review, examine, investigate, and analyze WC claims
- Review and interpret Doctor reports to correctly make a claim determination
- Analyze, compute and process indemnity payments
- Interact with injured employees to ensure awareness and understanding of the claims process
- Facilitate the Return to Work program for eligible injured workers
- Attend on site client meetings/trainings as requested and advise employers on proper management and impact of claims
- Collaborate with Safety team to effectively manage client Risk after a claim occurs
- Produce run loss for client(s) per request and review the data accurately
- Follow up with clients as directed and provide recommendations regarding status of WC claims
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications for this role:
- Education/Experience - Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years related experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous Workers Compensation Claims management and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Other - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; must be able to travel occasionally.
