Diesel Mechanic

STI Express is searching for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Medina, OH! The main responsibilities of this role are handling equipment maintenance and repair needed to keep all tractors and trailers in good running condition. The mechanic inspects equipment to determine the correct repair procedure, complete diagnostic test, and repairs. Position requires frequent lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and manipulating objects.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILLITIES:

• Diagnose, repair and/or replace tractor components using OEM software
• Perform Preventative Maintenance, inspections, tune-ups, and occasional welding
• Ability to perform trailer repairs including structural components
• Complete accurate work orders daily

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) – required
• 3 years of experience in diesel mechanics with trucks and trailers – required
• Must possess necessary tools to complete the job
• Experience using manuals, electrical wiring diagrams, and schematics necessary to trouble shoot and repair vehicle components
• Experience in all phases of tractor repair
• In-Depth knowledge of truck components and systems
• Excellent communication skills
• CDL preferred
