With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome a Facility Supervisor to join our dynamic team.
Scope of Work
The supervisor will manage the operations of the business during their assigned shift, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and that employees follow company policies. The successful candidate must have knowledge of industry trades, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, facility maintenance, skilled in management best practices.
Other Responsibilities and Duties:
- Managing staff: average of 10-15 per shift, assigning tasks, reviewing performance, and providing feedback
- Supervise contractors: Ensure the quality of work, assist with coordination and communication, track schedule to meet deadlines
- Managing schedules: Ensuring employees are scheduled correctly and that shift schedules are followed
- Training employees: Ensuring new employees are knowledgeable about safety standards, procedures, and work tasks, organizes and leads maintenance trainings
- Resolving conflicts: Implementing strategies to help employees work through issues together
- Maintaining stock/tools/equipment: Monitoring stock levels to avoid work order delays, ensure the proper tools and equipment to perform task are on hand
- Maintaining a safe work environment: Ensuring that all safety and security protocols are followed, leads safety inspections at worksites, ensure PPE is on hand
- Customers satisfaction: Responds to maintenance requests, addressing customer concerns and maintaining a high level of service quality
- Documenting operations: Recording operational issues and successes, written shift turnover briefings, signed toolbox talks, ensure work orders completed in CMMS platform daily and all CMs are captured
- Operational: Evaluates worksites to determine necessary maintenance work, escalates issues to management and recommends solutions
Requirements
- Associate degree in business management or similar field of study preferred but not required
- Must have at least three (3) years of Facility Management experience or similar role
- Must have knowledge of all industry trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting
- Must have the ability to lead others and possess strong communications skills
- Must be able to positively collaborate with clients, upper-management, and staff members
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Possess the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Must be able to work on call and travel as necessary to meet operational demands
- Possess an active U.S. Driver’s License, with at least three (3) years of qualifying experience
- Must be willing to work in a drug free work environment
Compensation is depended on experience - Medical, Vision, Dental, Life insurance, 401k
