This position will be stationed in Germantown, MD (HYBRID).
As our Proposal Specialist you will be responsible for providing the full lifecycle proposal support to the Contracts and Business Development departments, with a primary focus on proposal writing, coordination, and management.
The Proposal Specialist plays an important role in our rapidly growing, fast-paced, and fun environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Provides proposal coordination, management and writing support for all proposal volumes (technical, management, past performance, business, etc.)
- Provides proposal support for federal government opportunities, including responding to market surveys and RFIs, and writing and coordinating responses to task orders, RFQs, and RFPs
- Reviews formal RFPs, establishes a proposal plan / outline / schedule, write and coordinate responses, and work with internal and team member staff on proposal deliverables, writing, reviews, etc.
- Ability to review and interpret terms and conditions of RFPs and contracts.
- Opportunity to also contribute to BD and capture.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- 3 years of experience in similar proposal development roles
- Federal Government proposal experience working in large and small sized organizations
- Experience with high volume proposal / contract activity
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet hard deadlines
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated highly effective communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, fun, and team environment
Preferred Qualifications :
- Local to Germantown, MD area Hybrid schedule
- Certified by APMP
- Shipley proposal training or equivalent
- Security clearance
