What you'll be doing:
The HR Intern position reports directly to the HR Manager. The ideal candidate is hard-working, focused, organized, works well with others, and has a strong sense of urgency. Someone who enjoys taking the initiative and will be proactive in managing all levels of tasks, duties and projects as assigned.
In this role, the HR Intern will provide support to the Human Resources department by assisting with various tasks and projects related to recruitment, onboarding, training and development, and other HR functions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in HR operations and processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires by preparing paperwork, organizing orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Maintain and update employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of training programs for employees.
- Support HR projects and initiatives, such as policy updates, employee engagement activities, and diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including organizing files, scheduling meetings, and preparing documents and presentations.
- Stay updated on HR best practices, regulations, and industry trends to contribute ideas and recommendations for process improvements.
- Handle other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the HR Manager or supervisor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proactive and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Previous internship or work experience in HR is a plus, but not required.
