Summary:

You will be tackling a 3-pronged role. You'll be the advisor who manages a client's organic search marketing initiatives, managing and developing the team, and focusing increasingly on strategy development for the dedicated account(s).

Responsibilities:

Campaign Strategy Implementation

  • Understand the client’s products, competition, industry landscape, marketing goals and objectives
  • Review and analyze competitor sites and understand their organic search approach
  • Define a campaign strategy and deliverables plan that meet or exceed client expectations including:
    • Keyword strategies for optimal on-site performance
    • Detailed site analysis and technical recommendations
    • Detailed content recommendations
    • Comprehensive linking strategy
  • Work closely with other internal departments to develop fully integrated search campaigns
  • Attend client and agency meetings to present deliverables, campaign strategies, and tactics
  • Always maintain positive client relationships

 

Campaign Reporting Results and Optimizations

  • Monitor, track and evaluate campaign performance analytics, based on client critical metrics
  • Review rankings and linking data against internal measurements for success
  • Review monthly client reports, verify accuracy and provide analysis
  • Optimize campaigns accordingly to maximize client investment and to resolve performance issues
  • Support Search Director in data acquisition or campaign insights for quarterly or annual business reviews
  • Present practical ideas for future marketing expansion or optimization

  • Create, or assist in creating, POVs, standard and consistent approaches and key process documentation

 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of organic search engine marketing/search engine optimization/SEO campaign management experience required
  • Previous experience in an agency environment highly desired
  • Strong background in data analytics and strategy. You must be comfortable manipulating very large datasets
  • You may not be an expert coder, but a basic knowledge of HTML, Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools is expected
  • Desire to manage and mentor junior members of a team; prior experience as a manager a plus
  • You're performing at your best when you're in a dynamic and collaborative environment
