SUMMARY: The Technical Writer will be responsible for collecting the knowledge of Grover Products and procedures, then translating them into comprehensible written formats for diverse audiences. The Technical Writer will also be responsible for building standards and structure for documentation and information storage across the company. They will work with department leads to ensure ease of access and comprehension for the Grover knowledge base.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
• Study products and talk with designers and developers to gain accurate comprehension of products and processes.
• Gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
• Research, outline, write and edit new and existing content so it may be disseminated to and understood by a variety of internal and external audiences.
• Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.
• Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit documentation, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage.
• Research, develop, and maintain information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards, as well as allow for easy data migration.
• Develop and maintain detailed databases of appropriate reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-4 years’ industry experience in a technical writer position or similar role.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of the game development process.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, while being able to prioritize.

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Journalism, Software Engineering, Curriculum Development or a relevant communications or technical field.
• Experience working with technical departments to improve user experience, as well as refining content and creating visuals and diagrams for technical support content.
• Experience with C#.
• 2 years’ experience in the Gaming industry.
