PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide supervisory support for cleaning, floor care, event set up and project support as directed by the Facility Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education Level:
• High school diploma, GED, certificate of successful completion from SCCPSS, or some high school required.
• Attainment of a GED/high school diploma required within 24 months of employment.
2. Experience, Skill, and Certification:
- Multi-year leadership experience with multifunctional logistics
- Prior customer service experience
- Two more years of prior similar work experience
- Two or more years’ experience as a custodian or floor cleaning technician.
- Good communication skills – written and verbal.
- Ability to read and comprehend Policies and Procedures.
- Command of English strongly preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Supervises all cleaning, floor care and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor.
- Performs cleaning, floor care and project assignments within area of responsibility or as directed by supervisor.
- Performs related services, such as set ups, stocking supplies, etc.
- Assists other associates as necessary.
- Maintains high standards; works steadily at an efficient pace; achieves high quality assurance (QA) scores and positively impacts customer perceptions as measured by supervisor or administration observations.
- Interacts hospitable, cheerfully, and supportively to staff, visitors, and work colleagues.
- Maintains equipment, tools, and storage areas in clean, orderly, and good operating condition.
- Responds rapidly and thoroughly to emergencies, fire, disaster drills, special needs, spills, etc.
- Performs floor care projects (stripping, scrubbing, recoating, carpet shampooing and extraction, etc.), event set-ups, and other projects as trained and directed.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and observes department policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge and efficient use of cleaning techniques, solutions, equipment, and tools.
- Able to supervise custodial staff when the Head Custodian and or Facility Manager is absent.
- Responsible for locking up the facility at the end of the shift.
- Exercises good judgment while working around staff and visitors. Remains professional always.
- Takes initiative in rendering services or responding to needs.
- Report items that require repair.
- Able to work evening shift to include weekends and on call.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Incumbents will be considered “at will.” This position is “essential personnel, critical staff” when there is an event that creates security challenges or disruptions to district operations. This position may be required to work during identified periods of an emergency as defined in Policy Regulation GBRB-R, Title: Professional Personnel Time Schedules. Appropriate pay will be determined based on Grade 11 of the Classified Hourly Scale and allowable experience as determined by Human Resources. This is a 250-workday non-exempt position.
