Job Summary:
The Post-Harvest Lead: Trim/Dry (TDL) will lead dry/trim operations and staff as a key leader in both section and department. TDL is a career minded leader capable of leading a team and driving an environment of respect and results. TDL will be responsible for assisting with overseeing the day-to-day Flower Drying / Trimming process of all flower products, cleaning work areas, and leading projects as requested. TDL Lead will be specifically tasked to ensure drying rooms are maintained, flower is bucked, trimmed, and labeled according to schedule, count, and standard. TDL will ensure all waste is documented and disposed of properly. TDL will work closely with the METRC team to ensure all harvest / post-harvest counts are accurate and valid. Position will require the ability to coach, mentor, and train while managing staff to drive company standards and positive environment. Position will report directly to Post-Harvest Dry/Cure Supervisor into the Post-Harvest Manager and Chief Operation Officer.
Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities)
- Responsible for leading the Post-Harvest Trim team to meet production demands and quality expectations.
- Responsible for confirming correct counts, fills, and compliance with nomenclature on labels applied to correct product/batch units.
- Responsible for personnel and bucking/trimming management to ensure all dry flower QC has been and persons effectively utilized in a timely manner.
- Ensures quality product by overseeing Post-Harvest Team hand and machine trimming activities.
- Weighs and maintains a log of all trimmed material to be checked by METRC specialists once complete.
- Collects, weighs, and labels all trim by strain in up to 25 lbs. batches to be brought into the cure room.
- Work with Post-Harvest leadership to determine which flower products will be in the que to QC and ready to package according to plan.
- Consistently working with Cure Dry/Cure Supervisor and Post-Harvest Manager to ensure product is being trimmed from the dry room at optimal times.
- Consistently working with DCS and PHM on developing efficiencies to help the department run smoothly in that specific area.
- Responsible for anticipating and trouble shooting issues that may arise with support of dept. leadership.
- Execute and flow internal packaging process within room maximizing efficiency.
- Ensure responsible waste destruction is properly recorded and executed in coordination with PHM/CSM (Cultivation Utility Manager).
- Openly Communicates with Post-Harvest Leadership real time to shift staff and aid in other areas when not working with required daily tasks.
- Coordinate with Post-Harvest leadership HR staff requirements and support for Dry/Trim rooms.
- Communicates with Flower Lead / Flower Supervisor to plan for incoming Harvests
- Ensures Dry rooms and hangers are cleaned in between Harvests
Post-Harvest Lead (Trim/Dry)
Qualifications
- Experience using data entry software (i.e., Excel) and comfortable learning and using new software
- Understands compliance regulations and adheres to SOPs for specialized areas
- High School Diploma
- At least 21 years of age
- 6-months in Post-Harvest Specialist position
- METRC training
- Strong leadership skills and a motivation to lead
- Post-Harvest Mastery and/or, Waste Destruction Mastery

Physical Requirements

This is a full-time position with variable hours required. Our facility is open from 6am to 8pm seven days a week. Candidates with weekend availability is required.
