PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR (SWING SHIFT)

Summary of Functions:
The Production Supervision, reporting to the Operations Production Manager, will lead activities related to manufacturing. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to): assisting with applicant interviewing, training employees, directing personnel, assisting with continuous improvement projects, implementing area improvements, supporting plant safety and quality initiatives, and reviewing employee performance.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise swing shift production operations to optimize efficiency and meet production targets.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks to enhance productivity and increase Units Per Minute (UPM).
- Facilitate seamless coordination among Assembly, Fill, Mix, and Pre-Mix departments to optimize production flow.
- Mentor and develop Assembly, Fill, Mix, and Premix team members to foster effective leadership.
- Generate and provide production reports, including total units produced, UPM, and downtime reduction metrics as necessary.
- Collaborate with scheduling team to optimize production schedules while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage time off requests, timecards, and address any production team concerns promptly.
- Identify and eliminate waste throughout the production value stream.
- Strategically plan for future production requirements and transitions.
- Implement systematic changes to minimize downtime and increase efficiency.
- Report to Cody on requested time off, personnel changes, HR issues including conflicts, and all HR functions, daily production tasks, and increasing capacity.
- Conduct training sessions for production employees on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure employees adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
- Enforce adherence to procedures and policies, including GMP and (NSF) standards.
- Support building and maintenance to ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance tasks and optimal equipment performance.
Qualifications:
- 3 years leadership experience with supervising staff in a food/supplement manufacturing environment. (Preferred not Required)
- Must be able to manage department activities for planning, budgeting, business requirements
- Must have effective interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Must know positions within the Production Line to help assist
