About The Role:

The role is on the Revenue Management team reporting to the Director of Revenue Management, and it’s part of Grubhub’s Growth team. You will help drive insights and strategic decisions to maximize and balance the organization’s revenue streams through a holistic consideration of business objectives, competitive dynamics and consumer behavior and preferences. To achieve these objectives, you will have end-to-end ownership of projects from identifying opportunities, analysis, building testing plans, getting stakeholder buy-in, execution, monitoring and refining the strategy. This will require working with various levels of team members across the Pricing, Ads, Merchant Network, Logistics, Finance, Product and Technology functions.


The ideal candidate will have not only strong quantitative qualifications, but also an ability to combine data-driven insights with conceptual thinking and a constant business-outcomes orientation. This role will require influence and coordination across multiple stakeholder groups at varying levels of the organization. As such, exceptional communication and ability to synthesize analysis into clear and compelling narratives is a must. The ideal candidate should also have a proven ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. You will need to be able to establish a well-informed long term agenda, drive structured problem solving, while also remaining agile and resilient to new opportunities.


The Impact You Will Make:

  • Lead the development, testing, evaluation and implementation of Grubhub’s revenue management strategies, taking a holistic approach across all sides of the marketplace to maximize revenue generation
  • Partner with Diner Pricing, Ads, Merchant Network and Logistics teams to design revenue strategies that align with shared agendas while reaching the organization’s performance targets
  • Collaborate with Product to design and influence the monetization roadmap against the organization’s priorities
  • Apply sound, data-driven business judgment, weighing multiple factors, to determine and influence prioritization of marketing, pricing, and product investments across Grubhub
  • Deliver regular, executive-level reporting to continuously assess portfolio performance, highlight opportunities, understand competition, and influence senior leaders
  • Facilitate goal tracking to meet the organization’s KPIs
  • Innovate and continuously advance your analytic capabilities and infrastructure to drive actionable consumer insights through reinvention of reporting and monitoring, automation, standardization, and democratization of data
  • Support organization-wide decision-making utilizing not only quantitative dimensions but also by pairing it with strong conceptual problem solving, effectively synthesized into impactful, outcomes-oriented insights
  • Align stakeholders on priorities and timelines and manage the intersection/execution of many price changes
  • Drive integrated thinking, building recommendations for decisions weighing multiple facets of the business while balancing short term goals against the long term roadmap
  • End-to-end process ownership - ability to identify and change the way we work and willingness to move beyond the status-quo


Qualifications Required:

  • 4 years experience directly driving revenue outcomes in a data-driven, multidisciplinary, agile organization
  • Bachelor’s degree required in related field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Finance, Statistics, Math, Science, etc.)
  • Advanced skills in SQL and Tableau
  • Exhibited ability to direct and synthesize complex analysis and data into easily understandable, compelling, and actionable insights
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively influence various functional groups and up to executive levels
  • Effective even when working in unstructured or uncertain environments
  • Strong self-management / prioritization and influence capabilities
  • Deep experience with test and learn methodologies such as A/B testing
